I set out on a journey of discovery and healing. I read books, listened to podcasts, attended live events, and completed online courses. I must have tried hundreds of techniques, not to mention all the time and money I invested.
Three years later--when I made it to the top of my mountain - I realized that for the first time in my life, I was living the life of my dreams. I had healed the wounds of my divorce. I had discovered my purpose in life. I had devised a plan to start living that purposeful life - and it worked!

Yes, I had my three children with me, but I didn’t have a strong support system. None of my friends could relate to my divorce, and I could tell they didn’t know how to give me the support I needed.

Through the YWCA, the program I have chosen to support is the Phoenix Place, which serves as a safe haven for women and children who are escaping domestic violence.
